How it works

From address to sorted — before you move in.

Tell us your move date. We handle the rest — five utility accounts set up, one direct debit to manage them all.

The process in full

Tell us about your move

Create your Arrival account and enter your new address, move-in date, and any preferences — broadband speed requirements, whether you want a smart meter, your council tax band if you know it. The whole process takes about five minutes.

We contact suppliers on your behalf

Arrival registers your electricity and gas with an appropriate supplier, arranges broadband installation, notifies the council for your council tax, and sets up your water account — all before your move-in date. You receive email confirmation and reference numbers for every account.

One monthly direct debit

Once set up, all five utilities are billed through a single direct debit on a date you choose. Your Arrival account shows each bill, tracks your usage, and lets you update any supplier detail in one place.

Common questions

Frequently asked

No. Arrival acts as an intermediary and handles all supplier contact on your behalf. You give us authority to register accounts in your name, and we do the rest. You will receive confirmation from each supplier directly.

We arrange broadband through the providers available at your specific address — which depends on the infrastructure in your area. We'll tell you your options during setup and book the installation appointment once you confirm.

You can specify a preferred energy supplier during setup and we'll do our best to arrange with them. Council tax and water are fixed to your area and can't be switched, but we handle registration with the correct authorities automatically.

We recommend signing up at least 10 days before your move-in date, ideally two weeks. This gives time for supplier registration, broadband appointments, and council tax notifications to complete.

Yes. One person sets up the Arrival account and takes responsibility for the direct debit. Your housemates can be added as additional occupants for council tax purposes. How you split costs between yourselves is entirely up to you.

With Arrival Plus, move-out utility closure is one click. We notify all suppliers of your end date, request final readings, and handle direct debit cancellation. Basic users can manage this manually through their account. See our move-out checklist for guidance.
